CH. Long Gone Mersadies wins Region One Walking Shooting Dog Championship

CH Long Gone Mersadies won The Region One Amateur Walking Shooting Dog Championship in Falmouth, Mass. yesterday May 6, 2017 at The 1600 hundred acre Crane Wildlife Management Area. The new Champion had 6 very attractive finds in the ninth brace to win this, her first title as she is only a first year shooting dog. Mersadies won the Purinna Foster Award as the top derby in the woods( any breed) for 2015-2016 as well as The Flanagan Award for the top setter two year old in the woods for 2015-2016. It certainly is rewarding to have her fulfill her promise as these awards are meant to identify future champions. We have had the honor of winning these national derby awards previously, with Ch Long Gone Pumpkin in 1995, as she went on and won The National Amateur Grouse Championship, and Multiple CH Long Gone Daisy in 2001. We have also had the honor of winning The Region One Walking Championship with CH Long Gone Agnes, CH Long Gone Daisy, CH Long Gone Nixon, CH Long Gone Madison and now CH Long Gone Mersadies. This daughter of our multiple CH Long Gone Boston has made us proud. Many have emailed and asked when we plan on breeding "Sadie", I always say, I will not until they win at the Championship level. Now we may consider breeding her this winter, and will keep you posted on the sire and specific plans on this "The Whats New " section on this web site.Thank you to all who called and emailed us on Mersadies championship win.
